Our run of great weather came to an abrupt end on this the final evening competition of the year, the rain
persisted throughout the whole event, however some great nets were brought to the scales, Craig and Roger's combined total caught on pegs 1 and 15 respectively, was enough to scoop the honours.
Top weight on the night went to Kevin on peg 19, his 33lb fell to paste on the pole in the Lilly pads.

All too soon our summer series has come to an end.
Tonight's final match has again produced some great nets, perfect conditions, warm with a light westerly breeze.
Keith has fished peg 24, with corn hook baits, for a terrific 40lb net of large Carp for victory.
Second spot went to Darren, who's drawn the same peg 10 on consecutive weeks, another fine net of Carp also on corn and paste.
Third place goes to Craig with a great net of almost all Skimmer Bream on soft pellet.
Nathan's fourth spot ensures that his consistency has retained the midweek Championship. 119 points Well done sir.
Minor berths are Richard Jefferies second on 107
Martin Turner on 105, Roger Ackroyd 94..

Our members enjoyed another very close match, this evening. It was the penultimate competition in the 10 match series, Keith has come out on top, from peg 18, fishing the pole to the edge of the Lilly pads, fed heavily with dampened micro pellets and using a small soft pellet on the hook.
Richard has moved into joint second in the league, paste on the pole in the weed bed on peg 15 secured second in the match.
Warren has taken a much deserved £1 off Roger, with his third place on peg 2.
League top three are Nathan Underwood on 115
Martin Turner and Richard Jeffries on 105. Roger Ackroyd remains in fourth on 85.

The top 2 places were taken by the match organiser and assistant, only a pound separated Martin and Richard, drawn on pegs 15 and 18 they both fished ground bait paste, Martin's net was mainly Tench, Richard's was all Carp.
Keith has moved up in the league with his third place on peg 16.
2 matches remain Nathan maintains the lead.

Normal service has been resumed, Nathan has put another winning net together, this time on peg 19., again on the short pole, paste over dampened 4mm pellets.
Keith Copland ran a close second fishing sweet corn on the pole off peg 6, Keith Mountjoy fish pellets on the pole on peg 9 for third spot.
The rain held off except for one short shower, and George's has once again produced a good match, with 3 rounds remaining Nathan leads and Martin moves into second spot.

After a day of thunderstorms and heavy rain, the evening proved to be dry and slightly cooler.
Committee member, Richard, after a slow start, soon got into his stride with a number of decent Carp on paste and bread in the margins of peg 15, for another convincing victory.
Kevin, on his return from holiday, drew fancied peg 25, fished his favoured paste and pole method for second spot, just pipping Martin on peg 8.

We are, now, halfway through our summer evening series. Our members were again treated to glorious weather, and a fine display of pole fished paste by our current club champion, the seemingly unstoppable Mr. Underwood.. Nathan has weighed in a cracking net of Carp off peg 13 for his third win so far.
Rogers second position was at the other end of the lake on peg 24 , his catch fell to hard pellets.
Organiser Martin, fished paste on a running line on peg 2 , for third place.
Richard was fourth on the feeder on peg 17.to retain 2nd in the league .

Our members enjoyed another beautiful evening on Tarka Swims, as we approach the half way point in the series Nathan continues his relentless dominance, with his second win this time on peg 22, pole and paste has accounted for his mainly carp net.
He didn't have it all his own way as David made his return, with a fantastic net of larger carp on peg 9, float fished hard pellets beside the lilly pads.
Steve's 3rd place came to luncheon meat.
On Sunday we have our monthly competition.

George's lake has, once again, produced a close match. A sneaky South Easterly breeze just took the temperature down slightly.
Richard has fished peg 10 and put a very respectable net of Carp and Tench on the scale to record his 2nd victory in just 3 matches. He fished paste on a short pole, in fact the top 3 have all fished ground bait paste. Craig on peg 1 for second and Martin on 19 for 3rd.
Darren's 4th place was on sweetcorn.

The second round of our summer series produced some good results. The weather was warm and dry.
The "unstoppable Nathan has produced another great performance, fishing his favoured paste and pole on peg 9 , for an easy victory.
Keith, on peg 6 has had some nice carp in his second placed net .
Roger's third place came off peg 24 , a late run on hard pellets fished over to the island, secured it.
Craig's bag on peg 4 was mainly smaller silver fish on maggot and soft pellet .

A lovely early spring evening was enjoyed by the 17 members who fished the first in the 10 match series
The lake has fished exceptionally well, particularly for committee member Richard who dominated from start to finish in this 3 hour competition His all carp net was extracted from the lilly pads on peg 19. Second place Nathan used similar tactics on peg 13.
