B.D.A.C. Rod and Reel match results date 17.12.23 at Tarka.
Today only 6 anglers fished the match, the weather was dry and overcast all day and fishing was slow at times now the water temperature as dropped. Today winner was Martin Turner on peg 10 with a fine net of fish for 30lbs 9oz fishing between a feeder to the cage and float fishing in the margins. Second place was Stephen Paul Sheller on peg 16 fishing with a float to catch 17lbs 8oz, third place was Richard Jefferies on peg 9 with 15lbs 7oz. The next Rod and Reel match will be on the 28.1.24 at Tarka, well done Martin Turner on your win. Today fishing was hard going with not many fish feeding, the weather was wet most of the day and with a s/e wind blowing made it quite cold at time's. 1st place today went to Keith Mountjoy on peg 9 with a mixed bag of fish for 17lbs 12oz, 2nd place was Keith Copland on peg 8 with 16lbs 12oz, 3rd place was Stephen Paul Sheller on 19 with 14lbs and 4th place went to Warren Thornton on peg 15 with 10lbs 7oz. The next match is on Tarka on the third Sunday date 17.12.23.

Fishing was hard at times, but still some good weights was weighed in. 1st place today went to Keith Copland on peg 9 with a good net of fish for 25lbs 13oz on the feeder, 2nd place went to Richard Jefferies on peg 14 with 23lbs 10oz fishing a pellet waggler, 3rd place was Stephen Paul Sheller on peg 21 with 23lbs 4oz and 4th place went to Martin Turner on peg 16 with 22lbs 9oz. The next Rod and Reel match will be at Tarka on the 26/11/23.

B.D.A.C 6th Summer League Rod And Reel Match Results 24.9.23 At Tarka.
Today 10 anglers fished today match and the weather was dry and very windy, fishing was good with some very good weights of fish caught. First place today went to Craig Lamey with fantastic weight of 67lbs 12oz fishing on peg 19 on the feeder with maggot. Second place was Richard Jefferies on peg 14 with 42lbs 2oz fishing the feeder with maggot, 3rd place was Roger Ackroyd 33lbs 11oz on peg 24 and 4th place went to Antony Bentley with 33lbs 10oz. The next match will be on the 22.10.23. Start Of The Winter League.

League Date 27.8.23
Today weather was dry and windy at times with some showers, fishing was good with some very good weights being weighed in. First place today went to Kevin Shears on peg 11, he fished a straight lead with pellet to catch a very nice mixed bag of fish for a stunning weight of 50lbs 11oz. Second place was Darren Polden on peg 19 with 42lbs 1oz fishing just off the end of the island, and 3rd place went to Keith Copland on peg 9 with 37lbs 2oz. The next rod and reel match will be on the 24.9.23 at Tarka.

10 Anglers fished the match today and the weather turned out to be quite a nice day. All anglers caught fish with the fishing being slow at times for some, first place today when to Darren Polden with a magnificent bag of mixed fish for a weight of 71lbs 11oz on peg 6 fishing the feeder to the island, second place went to Richard Jefferies on peg 15 with 29lbs 6oz fishing a pellet waggler and 8mm pellet 3rd place was Anthony Bentley on peg 14 with 28lbs 3oz and 4th place went to Stephen Paul Sheller with 28lbs 1oz next Rod and Reel match is at Tarka on the 27.8.23. B.D.A.C Rod And Reel Match Summer League Results Date 25.6.23. 12 anglers fished today match at Tarka with some fantastic weights being weighed in, The sun was shining with a bit of wind from time to time all anglers caught fish. First place today went to Richard Jefferies on peg 16 with a net full of carp fishing the float for a weight of 66lbs 6oz. Second place was Steve Ashton on peg 6 with a nice mixed bag of fish for 58lbs 2oz on the feeder to the island. Third place was Darren Polden on peg 8 with a nice mixed bag of fish for 52lbs 7oz and forth place went to Nigel Spurr on peg 19 with 45lbs 11oz. The next match will be at Tarka on the 23.7.23

B.D.A.C Rod And Reel Match Results Summer League Date 28.5.23 At Tarka Swims.. Today weather was lovely conditions sun was shining with light winds with only 4 anglers fishing the match. First place today went to Martin Turner on peg 16 with a magnificent bag of mix fish for a stunning weight of 63lbs 15oz caught on a float in the margins. Second place was Darren Polden on peg 6 with another fantastic weight of fish for 63lbs 8oz caught on a feeder to the island 3rd place was Steve Ashton and 4th was Nathan Clements. well done to Martin Turner for such a good net of fish and thank you Martin for running the match today for me next rod and reel match is on the 25/6/23 at Tarka.

B.D.A.C. 1st Rod and Reel match summer league date 23/04/23
Today was the start of the summer league rod and reel matches at Tarka Swims. The weather started off with lovely conditions but that was soon to change with rain coming in for a couple hours but then the sun did shine again. Fishing today was steady throughout the match with some good weights being caught. First place today went to Mr Martin Turner on peg 6 with a fantastic mixed bag of fish for 45lbs 7oz mainly caught on the float. 2nd place was Keith Copland on peg 9 with 24lbs 4oz 3rd place was Richard Jefferies on peg 16 with 20lbs 8oz and 4th place went to Darren Polden on peg 12 with 14lbs 8oz. The next rod and reel match will be held on Tarka Swims on the 28/05/23 Well done to Martin Turner on such a nice mixed bag of fish.

B.D.A.C.6TH ROD AND REEL MATCH RESULTS DATE 26/03/23 AT HIGHAMPTON Lakes.
Today was the final winter rod and reel match of the winter series. 6 anglers fished it at HIGHAMPTON weather turned out to be a nice day with plenty of sun and a little rain at times. All anglers caught fish first place went to Darren Polden with a great net of Carp and a few silvers for a weight of 58lbs 5oz he fished the feeder with wafters second place was Richard Jefferies with a net of Carp for 25lbs 1oz on the feeder and wafters and third place was Warren Thornton with 18lbs 7oz . The over all winner of the Rod and Reel winter league is Richard Jefferies with 60 points and joint second place was Sheila Found and Cyril Found with 56 point each. The next Rod and reel match will be the start of the summer league Rod and reel matches and it will be at Tarka on the 23.4.23

B.D.A.C 5th rod and reel match results date 26/2/23. 11 anglers fished at HIGHAMPTON LAKES. The fishing was very hard going with very few bites for most. 1st place went to Darren Polden was a nice net of Carp for 30lbs 12oz caught in the margins, 2nd place when to Nigel Spurr with 21lbs 2oz fishing the tip to the island, 3rd place was Mike Ellis with 20lbs 15oz on the tip and 4th place went to Cyril Found with 16lbs 7oz. The next match is on the 26/3/23 venue to be confirmed.

B.D.A.C 4TH Rod and Reel match results date 22.1.23
12 anglers fished the 4th match and fishing was hard going with very few bites. 1st place went to Anthony Bentley with a nice net of Carp for 29lbs 8oz fishing the feeder with banded pellet on peg 17. Second place went to John Lane on peg 18 with 10lbs 12oz and 3rd place was shared between Christiaan Russell and Sheila Found with 1 Carp each for 7lbs. The next match is on 26.2.23 venue to be arranged.

B.D.A.C. 2nd Rod and Reel match results date 20th November 2022. 6 anglers fished the second match, and all caught fish. The weather was very challenging at times with heavy rain and strong winds and a bit of sun at times fishing was hard for all with the fish not wanting to feed. 1st place today went to Keith Copland with 17lbs 11oz with several Carp on peg 9 using maggot and micro pellets on the feeder. 2nd place went to Cyril Found with 6lbs 3oz on peg 10 on the feeder and 3rd place went to Anthony Bentley with 5lbs 13oz. The next match will be on the 18th of December venue to be confirmed.

B.D.A.C 1st Rod and Reel match results date 23/10/22. 8 anglers fished the first match and all caught fish. The weather was fine with a bit of wind every now and then and the sun was shining from time to time with fishing slow at times. 1st place went to Richard Jefferies on peg 12 with 17lbs 11oz he fished a feeder in the margins one of his carp was 10lbs 2oz. 2nd place went to Sheila Found on peg 9 with 14lbs 6oz on the feeder and 3rd place was Colin Gorman on peg 18 with 13lbs 2oz. The next match is on the 27/11/22 venue to be arranged.
B.D.A.C Rod and reel matches. We are going to run 6 rod and reel matches through the winter months. They will run on the 4th Sunday of each month starting on the 23rd October there will be some on Tarka and some on different venues to be confirmed. This means you can use a feeder, straight lead or a float NO POLES. All anglers must have 2 keepnets and a landing net must be used. Normal match rules apply and it will be a walk off entrance fee is £5 and on different venues £5 plus day ticket. Draw will be at 8.30am sharp and fishing 09.30 till 14.30. First match is at Tarka on the 23rd October.
