Tarka Swim Rules.

  1. Environment Agency Rod License and valid membership or day ticket must be carried at all times. And produced on request.

  2. The use of illegal substances on site is strictly forbidden.

  3. Fishing from platforms only.

  4. Barbless Hooks only.

  5. No fixed leads or feeders.

  6. Maximum Two rods per person.

  7. No rods or poles to be left unattended at any time.

  8. No Nut baits.

  9. Fish over 3lb must not be retained in keepnets (unless during a club run event) Keepnet use may be rescinded during periods of low oxygen levels.

  10. All fish to be treated with care and returned to the water unharmed.

  11. Juniors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

  12. Fishing from dawn to Dusk. No night fishing unless approved by Tarka swims Manager, or Karen’s Lake secretary, contact details at Lake Notice Board.

  13. Unhooking mats must be used (where appropriate)

  14. No litter to be left whatsoever.   

  15. No Boats. Unless for organized work Parties.

  16. No Swimming.

  17. Dogs must be kept under control at all times, any damage due to dog behavior will be the owner’s responsibility, all dog mess must be cleared and disposed of, off site.

  18. No Fires, unless during official work parties. Barbeques must be placed on gravel pathways making sure they do not obstruct other site users. All barbeques must be fully extinguished and removed from site after use.

  19. Toilets to be kept clean and tidy.

  20. No access to surrounding woodland.

  21. Do not destroy vegetation. No interfering with wildlife.

  22. Noise to be kept to a minimum. All users must conduct themselves in a considerate and non-disruptive manner at all times.

  23. No Firearms, unless authorization given by the club committee.

  24. Coated braid hook lengths permitted, ensure a suitable strength main line used with this method, recommend minimum 12lb. No lead core.

  25. Bideford & District Angling Club do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property.

  26. The lakes/swims may be closed periodically for club events, maintenance, spawning.

 

 

“Any points that are not covered by the above set of rules will be dealt with by the elected committee incumbent at the time whose decision will be final”.
