Another glorious late summer Sunday saw an almost sell out entry for our 8th competition in the year long league
Our youngest competitor Craig continues to dominate the comps, with another awesome performance,this time on peg 17. He has fished with luncheon meat in the margins to almost double second place and set another match record.
Nathan has come in second on peg 20, this moves him into 2nd place in the league one point behind Kevin who managed 7th place.
Keith on peg 6 was third , a mere one ounce behind 2nd .

The hottest weekend of the year produced a fantastic close match, the Southeasterly breeze blowing into the dam end provided some respite.
Nathan has drawn peg 17 and made no mistakes fishing the margins on the pole with corn, meat and paste.
Rhys on peg 19 has lost a number of fish, but still landed enough to for second, pole and luncheon meat his chosen method.
John Lisle's catch on peg 9 was taken on the short pole on luncheon meat and was enough for 3rd place.
Richard made 4th spot with a pole and paste net.
Warren and Craig tied for fifth place.

Despite a slow start and almost a full house George's
lake has produced over 500lb of fish for this 6 hour monthly match. The weather has been breezy in a westerly direction, but thankfully dry although cooler.
Our current league leader has increased his lead with an almost 50lb mixed net of fish. Kevin has fished on peg 11 and caught the bulk of his catch late in the margins on meat.
2nd place went to Graham on peg 18, a mainly carp catch on the method and on the pole with paste.
Ian has fished a great match on bomb and 8mm pellet using a long tail, on peg 19 for third spot.
Keith on peg 10, lead for most of the match but in the end settled for 4th overall.

Kevin, our league leader, has further extended his lead to 8 points, with the match win on peg 13, he fished the pole with maggot over ground bait.
Second in the league and second on the day was Keith
with another pole caught net on peg 19, using soft pellets.
Third of off peg 10 was Colin, he has fished the straight lead and hard pellets.
Richard has fished the pellet waggler for the fourth.

Almost every peg was taken for this 6 hour event, bright sunshine and a stiff South Easterly breeze has kept the weights modest.
Match organiser Martin has drawn the last peg in the bag ,number 16, a straight lead with pellet or meat, fished out to the cage has accounted for the bulk of his winning catch, backed up with some good fish on caster on the short pole.
Warren's second place from peg 9 consisted of larger carp on the pole to maggot over pellets.
Third place was our current league leader Kevin on peg 6, he's caught a nice mixed bag on pole fished maggot .
Richard has landed 5 carp for 4th place off of peg 13.
Once again the shallower section has proved tricky, Roger Ackroyd took the honours with 2lb 5oz on peg 2..

Although conditions for most of the day were favourable, a chilling easterly breeze and high pressure have kept the weights low again.
Darren's 2 pole caught carp from peg 19 both took maggot bait and ensured victory.
His neighbour, Keith, on peg 21 also had a brace of carp on soft pellet and bread for second spot.
Kevin came in third from peg 12.
The shallower section again failed to produce any quality fish and Les Polden took the honours with a mere 1lb 6oz mainly small fish !

Good to see a few new faces
Nathan has drawn peg 12 and made no mistakes fishing punched bread on the pole into the reed beds, to score his first victory of the year.
Les has taken second place on peg 18, bread on the lead his chosen technique.
Kevin has put together a lovely net of silvers and a single carp on peg 9 for third.
The high pressure and cold weather coupled with the very clear water meant that the fishing proved extremely tough for some, the shallower section was won with a mere 4oz !
